Product details

The third and final book in the infamous Mythology Trilogy, Mokele is an exploration of the art in 214 pages, containing 14+ punchy practical effects for both close-up and stage, all from the soft, spongy brain of UK mentalist Phill Smith. Along with Phill's usual practical straightforward methods and effects, there are the essays and premises that have become the hallmark of the Mythology Trilogy.

For the first time Phill reveals his unique method for determining a name or drawing (or anything) written on a business card, with no gimmicks or sleights at all, in real time in full view of the audience - a powerful, ingenious and easy method that will fit straight into the arsenal of any mentalist or mystery performer. There's a simple method of giving a positive cartomancy reading with a normal deck of cards that has a strange and inexplicable kicker, a challenge drawing duplication that will mean you never have to buy a drink again, a handful of weird card effects as well as a funny stage game of bingo that you always win (or lose, depending on your viewpoint).

Alongside these and many more exciting and practical effects there are essays on performing and developing ideas that draw ideas from a seminal text from the design industry, containing dynamite ideas on how to make your effects more powerful, as well as how to minimise and dissipate the risk of failure for any effect you do. All that, plus the usual smattering of unique premises that serve as jumping off points for your own presentations.

Mokele is a 214 page ebook packed with ideas for performers of all levels, from one of the industry's most creative minds. Click download now to get your hands on Mokele today and start creating a new kind of wonder.
