Christian Engblom has fooled Penn & Teller twice, headlined conventions around the world, and now he’s coming to Penguin LIVE to share his incredible magic with you. This is a lecture built from the ground up for magicians who perform in real-world scenarios. Every trick has been tested in front of audiences and gets huge reactions. This isn’t knuckle-busting sleight of hand; this is practical direct magic that lets you focus on what gets reactions.
Here’s a taste of what you will learn:
Suggestion
Christian’s approach to the tear/no-tear paper effect. Using what seems like just slips of ordinary paper, he is able to take away and restore a spectator’s strength. This uses readily available supplies around the world and is shockingly easy to do. This might be one of the easiest ways to perform this type of effect, and best of all, there is almost no arts and crafts. Previous versions of this effect required delicate card splitting and gluing exotic materials. With Suggestion that is a thing of the past.
Riejo’s Heart Attack
A card is remembered and then shuffled into the pack. When you go to shuffle the cards, they squirt out of your hands, making a huge mess and hopelessly losing the selection. Impossibly, you are able to recover from the chaos with an astonishing revelation. The spectator names a number, and the selection is discovered at that location, even if they change their mind mid-count.
Accurate Weight
This is a sure-fire way to cut to the exact number of cards in front of your spectators. This is a Guess Your Weight style routine that is dead simple and gets killer reactions. The method is diabolical and hides in plain sight.
Near Perfect Circle
A story about Picasso becomes a mind-bending moving ink routine that is practical and requires almost no preparation. What other people accomplish with mechanical cards Christian accomplishes with minimal sleight of hand and diabolical methodology.
These are just some of the highlights in this power-packed lecture. There are tons of insights hard-won from his world travels and deep thoughts of magic. You learn incredible moves, genius secrets, and amazing philosophies from one of the most celebrated magicians in magic. The only place you can learn them is right here at Penguin LIVE.
