This is a re-release of an 2009 ebook
Tripodal by Sundown contains three routines with a quiz theme
- Mental Pursuit – A mental quiz routine with Trivial Pursuit cards.
- Quean of the Quiz – A stage mental magic routine
- Quiz show – A comedy routine with a quiz theme.
This is a first rate effect for stand-up or parlour setting, with audience participation, comedy, and a big production finish. The props for this one are easy to construct and the end results are nothing short of spectacular.
-Peter Duffie
The routine explained reads like a dream – an entertaining and interactive comedy vignette that requires little in the way of dexterity and offers a wonderful and logical presentational hook.
The layout and descriptions are as ever – and it’s always interesting to read the origins of the work.
Anyone looking for a stand up piece will not be dissappointed.
-Ian Kendall
This is a piece right out of Tom’s repertoire, so he has worked out many of the kinks inherent in any original routine. He has redesigned a change bag so it works using only one hand, has figured out a clever choreography to ring in a load, and stimulated my thinking about adapting something like this to what I laughingly refer to as “my act.”
The patter recommendations show a great sensitivity to the feelings of the spectators chosen to assist on stage. As always the illustrations are first rate.
-Matthew Field
